I am over the moon excited today! Fifi O’Neill has generously agreed to give away one copy of her new book, Romantic Prairie Style, to one of my lucky readers for our 3rd and final Giveaway here at TOPC. And are you ready for the BEST part? Fifi is going to personally sign it!
I am wholeheartedly grateful to Fifi. She is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have had the opportunity to meet on several different occasions. When you visit her blog, right away you can tell she has a warm, genuine heart, but meeting her in person simply takes ones breath away…
When Fifi contacted me to have our house featured in her book, I was delighted that she felt our little Cottage8 had the right look to grace the pages of her new book. You may remember some of the wild n’ crazy behind-the-scene images from the photo shoot when Fifi was here with her crew last year. Click here for a fun look back.
I know it’s a teaser, but here are just a few of the photos of our home that are featured in Romantic Prairie Style. All photos courtesy of Mark Lohman.
There are many inspiring photographs from some incredible homes collected in this book. One can pour over the photography and beautiful writing for hours upon hours. I am honored to be amongst a talented bunch of homeowners, all with the same shared passion: (in order of appearance) Anne Marie, Angela Reed, Joy Waltmire, Carol Spinski, Caroline Verschoor, Christian McCord, Andrea Dickersons, Tracey Leber, Fifi O’Neill, Lisa Adkins, Maria Carr and Michelle McCauley.
To enter to win a signed copy of Romantic Prairie Style, simply do the following:
1. Leave a comment here on my blog.
2. Leave a comment on Fifi’s blog.
3. Extra credit question: If you could go on a road trip with one person (dead or alive), who would you choose and where would you go?
This giveaway ends on Friday, April 29th. Lucky winner to be announced here on my blog.
Oh, and before I go, I need to announce the winner of the Spring Basket Giveaway! Betcha thought I forgot. Nope, just been all kinds of busy these past few days! Anyways, the lucky winner is:
Deborah at The Fairfield House. Congratulations! Please contact Laurie to claim your prize.

I would love a copy of that magazine!

I love roadtrips and if dreams came true, I'd take one with my late husband who passed away 6 years ago. He was only 46 and we were true kindred spirits. I'd drive to Prince Edward Island in early summer when the peonies are in bloom. I'd ride bikes along the coast and eat lobster. It's fun to dream, eh?

Hi Jennifer! Just posted on Fifi's blog, I already follow and LOVE her blog. She really seems like such a warm, sweet person. I'd LOVE to win her beautiful book.
ReplyDeleteIf there was anyone I could go on a road trip with (I'm excluding my Husband because we can do that anyway) I would definitley choose my late Grandmother, Fathe. She is the person that inspired my passion for creativity and love for old things both by her strong influence on me as a child and even today as I enjoy owning her old things. She went home to the Lord when I was only 9 and I miss her so much more today. When she took me with her to the "Hunt Shop" it wasn't until my own thrift store junkin' that I realized that's where we were "hunting". I remember her checking the backs of old plates and doll heads. She owned her own interior design store in Los Angeles as a young woman. She even designed some movie sets. I own several of her own oil paintings, antique furniture pieces, vintage jewelry and dolls today. Oh, how I would LOVE to take a road trip with her today as an adult. Oh, the stories I would hear! I would hang on every word.
Have a blessed Easter weekend chickie!
Missy

My road trip would involve a trip across the pond first. I would take my hubby of 40 years back to Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in England to travel the backroads we often traveled when we lived there from 1971-74. Then we would venture north to revisit Edinburgh.

ReplyDeleteI remember your post about your kitchen island. Your house is beautiful! I'd go on the road trip with my husband. We have the best times of our lives on our road trips. We talk, take pictures, eat crap, sing to music and speed like demons into the sunset. Have a great Easter!

Oh, yeah, Where would I go? To the southern US. I'd like to see Georgia, and Guy wants to go to Memphis, for the music scene. We might just go.
ReplyDeleteI took a leap over to Fif's blog, and saw Posh on Palm. What a gorgeous store!
What a lovely home and such wonderful decor. it is amazing to see the before and after pitures!
ReplyDeleteYou must love to get up from your beautifully relaxing bed in your bedroom and saunter into your kitchen every morning for a cup of coffee!
Simply stunning! missy~ mklicka@sbcglobal.net
Jennifer - I have been a lurker on your blog for a long time. You were actually my inspiration for my LRoom redo. I cant capture your true style, but adapted to fit our needs.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in the drawing for the book. I will now head over to Fifi's to comment and check out her page as well.
Thanks for all you do.
Extra credit - If I could road trip with anyone dead or alive who and where? I would choose my husband and we would go to the Southern USA for the longest yard sale. Would love to attend that sometime. Why? Well we have such a great time "thrifting" and adapting our prizes to our home and lifestyle. He is the BEST guy to go thrifting with ever!!!

ReplyDeleteJennifer what a lovely post and a giveaway too! Fifi is truly fabulous I follow her blog. If I could go on a road trip with anyone it would be my sweet husband. He is my best friend and our trips together are always fabulous. I'm very fortunate to have seen many parts of the world. But as long as we're together I'd go anywhere. I think the next trip might be to Vermont in the fall.

ReplyDeleteIf I were to take a trip with one person, despite many great choices, I would take my sweet hubby...it would be a lot more fun to travel with him than someone I barely know.
Thanks for offering this great giveaway!
Would love to see more of that great book, hope I win. I would go to the French Riviera with Cary Grant, but don't tell my husband I said that!! Jackie
ReplyDeleteI am in love! With your blog and Fifi's new book! We are in the middle of selling our home and your cottage has inspired me to but a house I can truly create my little cottage, one with ton's of lavender plants and peonies and lilacs- the home my kids will grow up in. Something that says I love my home when I open the door- right now I say, just not right. Although my style is evolving and I am learning with each blog, each magazine and book I read- so I would adore a copy!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning! Oh I would LOVE the opportunity to win this lovely book..it would be perfect here at our farmhouse in the country. If I could go shopping with someone special anywhere in the world it would be my sister who I only found out about in 91. She's my inspiration. I hope you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteMaura :)
Love the images. Thank you for the opportunity to win the book!
ReplyDeleteNew here but so glad I found you! Love, love, love your look and for my purposes it would be easy to duplicate multiple times! We are military and move frequently, may have finally alighted in an Old Victorian on the Prairie in Abilene Kansas.... would so LOVE to have a copy of this! Thanks much!
ReplyDeleteoh and the road trip.... hmmmm..... so many choices! To PEI with my daughters I think and stops along the way at antique stores, kitschy places, and going to see "Anne!"
ReplyDeleteEverything about the rooms speaks of exquisite taste and style. If I could go on a road trip with anyone in the world it would be with my husband and children because family is everything to me.
ReplyDeleteOh, please enter me in the drawing. I've been seeing this book several places today and have thought that looks like a great book. I'll be sure and leave a comment on Fifi's blog, too. If I could go on a road trip with anyone it would be my BFF, Liz, aka The Queen, who went home to be with the Lord last July. We would go on the 100 mile yard sale, riding in a limosine, wearing great big hats and drinking big tall lemonades. That was always on our bucket list to go to yard sales in style after we got our kids raised and had plenty of time. Don't ever waste a minute! Live life as if there were no tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI have been dying for this book! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI would take my sister (who lives in Boston, while I am in ATL) and we would head of to Jackson Hole, WY. Have always wanted to visit that beautiful spot. I don't know if it can live up to the amazing idea I have of it in my head, but I have a feeling that it would exceed my expectations!!
